Real winter is finally upon us and it´s minus 28 degrees Celsius outside today. I read in the papers that it´s the polar vortex that shifted and the coldspell that was over North America is now over us. Isn´t it usually over us? Feels like it... It´s Sunday, so we are staying indoors. The sky has that frosty pink tint.
ouch! and i thought _we_ had had some cold weather!
ReplyDeleteYou did have some cold weather! I read about it and I know what you´re used to...
DeleteBeautiful photo. Yes, here in the US there have been unusual frigid temperatures in areas that never see this kind of cold. I've been writing in the evening wearing a bomber hat and the cats are squished up against me.
ReplyDeleteOne of my dreams is to visit Sweden. Never been there, and I plan to get over sometime within the next three years. Long story short, I became interested in Sweden after a museum in Washington, DC contacted me to develop a program of Nordic art songs to go with one of their exhibits. I had never sung in any Nordic language, and set out to accomplish the impossible....What followed was 4 years of presenting the program all over the DC area, including at The New House of Sweden.
How interesting! That must have been quite a challenge, to sing in a language not your own. I hope you get to come some day, and that the weather is at its nicest!
