James Fox's work reminds me of Miriam Shapiro, who was an American quilter in the Pattern and Decoration Movement in the 1960's-1980's. I love art quilts and went through a time when I feverishly made little things and experimented with design and fabric. Yes, the compulsion to touch is part of the fun!
